Khune is still young as a goalkeeper to be written off. I still believe he is a good goalkeeper. He will come back strong,” Mweene told the media in Durban during the COSAFA Cup.
Khune is yet to play five consecutive games in the last two years for Amakhosi and fallen down the pecking order at the club.
The shot-stopper’s long-time rival Kennedy Mweene doesn’t think it is over yet for former Bafana Bafana number one, and is of the opinion that Khune can return stronger, and should not be written off.
“In football, these things happen… You can be on and off, it doesn’t mean you can now retire. He still has a lot to offer as a player.”
