Golden Arrows are believed to be eager to sell a midfielder that is on Kaizer Chief wanted list in the current transfer window.
The KwaZulu-Natal outfit are believed to have been in discussions with Amakhosi over Mmodi’s signature, as Arrows would want to sell to avoid parting ways with the player on a free transfer when his contract ends in June 2023.
Chiefs are looking to sign a striker as the club is currently assessing four attackers, in Musa Kamara, Wayde Lekay, Fuad Johnson and Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, and Arrows might be forced to consider other options for the player before the transfer window closes on August 31.
Indications are that a transfer fee is a stumbling block as both parties seemingly haven’t reached an agreement on a figure for Mmodi, who said he is ready to play for the Soweto giants.
The 29-year-old is currently part of Arrows’ pre-season preparations for the new season, which is set to begin in August.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, Chiefs have an overload of midfielders, but Arrows look set to let go of Bafana Bafana international, Pule Mmodi.
